Kreighoff .22 insert
« on: February 04, 2011, 02:10:40 PM »
Howdy.

Just got another Brno set, and this one came with a kreighoff .22 barrel insert.  I will not be able to get to the range for a while to try it out, but I am really curious about it.  I can see that there are two spots where the insert contacts the chamber; one for the extractor, and one not.  There is about 1/2" play on where to position it.  Does anyone who has experience with these know if it s possible to line up the insert with the sights, or not?

Thanks.

Dave,
those inserts are what manu consider the best in rim fire.

Yes you can adjust the insert to the sights.

Let me know if you need a copy of the manual.

Thanks Doug; that would be great if you could share the manual.  Let me know if you need an  email addy; I noticed you attached a few other manuals in other posts.

Thanks again; I appreciate the offer; mine did not come with a manual.

I use to sell them...  I still have a few i kept for myself...  Anyway, they came in 22LR and 22WMR.  They also came in two lengths, and in "std." and "extra".

I was told by Dieter Krieghoff that the "extra" models were test fired at the factory and were more accurate than the std. ones.  Basically, "hand picked",  BUT that doesn't mean a "std." one couldn't be just as accurate, and just wasn't hand picked from the pile.

Mine are very accurate, and always come back to zero when reinstalled.
