lyman lube sizer how to clean

hello i just got a new to me lube sizer how do i clean the old lube out do i boil it out ?

you can boil it out but why not just use it.

Hello, luckydawg13.  The last one I cleaned out was the old original Ideal No. 1 pat. 1892.  I used a heat gun, with lots of old rags & a wood dowel..That stuff was hard!  must have been in there since that cuban ruckus!  but it cleaned up ok.  I still use these old sizers..I like e'm better than the newer ones.

I just use a heat gun and /or carefully heat with a propane torch.

I would boil it out I would not use a propain torch on it you might melt thewasher in the bottom of it if it has one like the star sizer does D Crockett

i just boiled it came real clean

just use it up for low velocity handgun bullets. About any lube will get you by for them.
