Who recorded this song?
« on: January 19, 2004, 09:07:43 AM »
There was blood on the saddle and blood all around
And a great big puddle of blood on the ground

A cowboy lay in it all covered with gore
And he never will ride any broncos no more

Oh, pity the cowboy, all bloody and red
For the bronco fell on him and bashed in his head

There was blood on the saddle and blood all around
And a great big puddle of blood on the ground
Careful is a naked man climbin' a bobwire fence.

Haven't heard Kraber's version, but I have Ritter's album of the same name.

You win my eternal admiration.  Don't think too many will admit they're old enough to have ever heard the song.  Thanks for responding.

Daveinthebush,

How are things there in Alaska's "banana belt".  I spent two and a half years including three winters at Fort Wainwright ('71-'73) and always envied those residing in the warmer climes.
