killed my first fox

Last night we where hunting with a friend of my dad's named Jared. He knew this farmer who had huge hay fields. Our first set up we had a fox come into 200 yards the first shot he missed and the second shot he crippled it. Then we set up again and then the farmers son and his friends come and start driving the trucks through the field. So we got up walked back to the truck and we went to a different farm and we set up and the corner of a apple orchard we called for about 30 minutes and Jared pulled up the red light I said how far Jared said 100....BOOM. Jared said ya  splattered him. So we walk down to it and it was a little red fox.I am going to tape the foxes jaws shut to get pictures. The 223 made a mess out of the foxes jaws.

I made a mess out of my first fox last year.
Hunting deer during the daytime and the way the sun hit it, I thought it was a coyote and a lot farther away.
Popped it with a 180 gr bullet out of a 30-30. Had to do some re-construction just to get a decent photo.
But you were intention in your fox hunting and were successful. Congratulations.

i got my first fox this year well last year  60 yrds with a 209x50 encore pistol with a reddot 240 xtp 60 ffg 777 tore him up pretty bad but no more chickens for this one my buddy was happy to see it gone

Got my first fox this year as well. I shot him with my bow while deer hunting.  I saw him first at about 150 yards and squeaked my mouth and he came a running.  He is now stuffed and in my office:)
