Sportster firing pin closeup
« on: February 16, 2011, 11:20:42 AM »
Since it's a bit nasty outside today I decided to do a little tuneup on the Sportster. A little polishing on some of the rough spots and figured whilst she was apart I'd take a look at the firing pin and make sure it was good and clean. Took a picture of it to share with those that have yet to get a close look at a rimfire firing pin..

FWIW the diameter of the pin is ~ .075"

Very nice pics Bill, what did you use (just in case I ever figure out how to do pics)?

Thanks!
Took the pictures with my $99 Kodak EasyShare camera using the "close up" selection. And used the "My Hosted Pics" program, I got from here on GBO, to get them magically to the screen. My twelve year old grandaughter taught me most of the computer stuff.  ;D
