Picked up My M92
« on: February 12, 2011, 09:50:39 AM »
Well got to the shop at 910am  walked out with my new M92 in 38spl/357mag.I was impressed. the wood to metal fit was very good  and the blueing was excellent. It a 16" Big Loop . Not My first choice but the only one available in the cal (wanted a round barrel). I cycled the action several times and the Big loop was not an issuse and the action was smoother then I expected. Well off to give it a good cleaning  dig out some cartridges and see how she shoots

I think you will really like your rifle.  I have 6 of em, my Trapper in 357 is the roughest and the newest.  Excellent light weight rifles.  My two 454's are mini 45-70's.  DP

mine will end ou with the bolt mounted reciver sight  for sure. maybe the standars lever  but I got it for a truck/tractor home defence Gun so it will always be an 8 shot. so far the big lever is ok  I wanted the standard lever  but one could not be had here.
Your custom is neat

Thanks for the kind words - after looking at new loops for $70, I swapped loops with someone who wanted a big loop, and made us both happy as clams.    :)

Or if you know someone who's handy with metal you could reduce the big grip to a mid range size slightly bigger then the regular lever....

Fun guns!

For the money, the Rossi 92 is a great little gun. I have one in 45lc and love it. I'd pick up another one in 357,44,480 or 454 with the short barrel and big loop in a minuet if the price was right.
