I would certainly feel better with a SS than no weapon but in a close quarters situation with multiple perps I'd want that second -third-etc without having to cycle an action. I like the idea that I can still get off rounds with only one good hand with my tac autolader. The beauty here though is that folks on a budget can afford to protect themselves.
