What's the best 7mm in a 10 or 12" barrel ?

What if any are your best choices, mainly used for Whitetails.
Most of my rifles are 7mm. I was leaning towards a 7-30 Waters.
But let me know your opinions , Please!
TIA

i'd be happy with either probably but the 7-30 is not bad in 10" either.  check out the article at handgunhunt.com about 10" 7-30.

In a 10" I'd prefer the 7 TCU. You'll get virtually the same velocity from either in the 10" barrel but the TCU uses a good bit less powder to get you there. By the time you reach a 14" barrel the 7-30 clearly has a worth while edge in velocity over the TCU.

7mm TCU

Go with the 7mm TCU.  I love the 7-30Waters, but you would just be wasting powder in a 10".

And if you're using an Encore, take a look at the 7BR.   It does very well in short tubes.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
