Ever since I changed over to triple 7 I've just been using Rem Oil. Proir to triple 7 I used TC Bore Butter.

Glad you got rid of the bore butter. That is some amazing little racket they have going. Best I can teel, it is the only part of the "boar" that the FDA won't let into the hot dog.

I alternate between Militec, Shooter Choice Rust Prevent, and Break Free CLP.  I have used the Rust Prevent for many years with excellent results.  If it came in something other that a spray can, I'd use it more often.

I live in a dry part of the world and seldom have to put in a protectant. Guns I'm storing for a long time will get Triflow on everything.

I have always had very good luck with the Knight Oil.  I assume it is someone else's with Knights label put on.  I have never had any rust with a properly cleaned rifle and Knight oil.  I have also used Wonder Lube 1000 with decent results.  That said, I won't store my rifle for extended periods with anything other than Knight or other quality oil.  FH

Where do you get Breakfree CLP? I've never seen it any place, but then again, I haven't been looking for it.

Walker, I always get mine at Wal-Mart in the sporting goods section.  It's always near the other gun oils and cleaners.

Ballistol in a spray can. Since it works with water also makes a great muzzle loader lube. The last bore butter I had I mixed with bees wax to make some conical lube it worked well for that. Jim

Miltec goes on all my metal parts and bore.  Makes cleaning easier, keeps the breech plug from freezing and no rust.  I put it on all my guns now.  You can get a free sample of oil and grease here....

I spray a little ballistol on a patch, run it down the bore, and then wipe down the outside with the patch.
