    Fabian Socialism is the driving force and philosophy behind American liberals who call themselves "progressives".  Erick Blair was a member of the Fabian Socialists for several years, until he could see their true aims and intents.  He left the organization and under a pen name, wrote a book in which he explains the "progressives" plans for the rest of humanity..the great "unwashed" that is..
  His pen name..George Orwell  ...the book...   1984 .
 
  ....Because he figured the Fabian Socialists would have taken over before the year of 1984..  Perhaps that book and Animal Farm delayed the takeover a few years.
