My loads for these three calibers:
375 H&H xx grains H4895, 235 grain Speer, 3072 FPS, 3 shot group size .608 inch, Enfield 1917 Action, Shaw Barrel.
30-06 xx grains H4895, 150 Grain Hornady, 2508 FPS, 3 shot group size .592 inch, Springfield 1903 Action, original barrel 19" long in a fully glass bedded mannlicher stock
This 1903 30-06 rifle also shoots sub MOA groups with H380 Powder with both 130 and 150 grain bullets.
Note I have customized 3, 1903 Springfields with the original military barrels and all three will shoot sub MOA groups.
.270 Winchester, xx grains H450, 130 grain Speer or 140 grain Hornady both shoot into less than 3/4 inch, Enfield 1917 Action, Shaw Barrel
My favorite medium bore rifle.
.338 Winchester Mag, xx grains H450, 200 grain Speer, 2881 FPS, 3 shot groups .322, and .348 , Enfield 1914 Action, Shaw Barrel, MPI Stock.
Note: be careful, this load is higher than the loading manuals list, but was worked up 1 grain at a time and shows no high pressure signs in my rifle.
My long range rifle:
.308 Norma Magnum, xx grains H450, 165 grain sierra, 3018 FPS, 3 shot group .532, Savage 110 Action, Shaw Barrel ,laminated bishop stock.
same load of H450 pushes a 150 grain Nosler to 3320 FPS with a group size of .572. These same loads worked well in a 30/338 mag wildcat with is almost exactly the same as the .308 Norma.
Big Bore:
.458 Winchester Mag, xx grains of N-202, 350 Grain Hornady, group size .762, 1914 Enfield Action, Shaw Barrel, English Walnut stock. It also shoots cast bullets in the 1 inch group range.
My Ruger No1 in 45/70 shoots multiple jacketed bullet loads grouping in the .6 and .7 tenths area , but they are too hot to post online as they approach .458 Winchester Mag levels. Only work done on this rifle was to replace the factory trigger.
It shoots sub MOA with cast bullets also.
