Do they stick in a clean gun. Are they mostly sticking after youv'e shot a bunch of 2 3/4 and 3"? One fix is don't shoot 3.5" for the price over the others I never found the gain or the pain was worth it. ;D Kurt

Ya sticks in clean gun, its a new gun so maybe it will break in..I have been shooting 3s in it to try break in. Basically I want it to shoot 3 1/2s because im thinking of selling it and no one will buy for what i have in it. So i really need it to do what its supposed to. I want the 10 ga. version as its on the sb-2 frame like my .308 ultra.

the 10 gauge sb2 frame is not the same as the rifle sb2 frame . the 10 gauge frame can only fit 10gauge and the 12 gauge ultra slug barrel .

That is correct matthew. If you are looking for 10ga magnum ballistics I say go with the 10ga but if you are just gonna shoot regular 10ga stay with the 3.5 12ga they are ballistically nearly identical. How hard do they stick ? You may be able to polish it out. Have you tried more than one shell manufacture? Factory will not fit anything to the 10ga frame but the 10ga and the 12ga Ultra Slug bbl IIRC. Kurt

A 10 ga gun will pattern different than a 12 with the same load of shot in most cases mag or not.
Have you checked the chamber in your gun ? does it mesure 3.5 or 4 inches ? A 3.5 shell works in a 4 inch chamber as it needs room for the shell to open .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Mine sticks the 3 1/2" as well.  Spring just doesn't have enough umph to break the case free.  I drop a lead ball down the bore and it will knock the shell free so it ejects.  It will also do it on heavy loads in the shorter cases.  I've been thinking of putting the notch into the chamber lip for a knife blade.

i went back to page 113 and read pages forward, what a wealth of info.we have acess to,i learned alot..when i get back to work i will be donating a few bucks..but back to the subject of sticking 3.5s..i used carb. and choke cleaner really cleaned gun out applied light oil and gun really ejected unspent shells better..but still sticks 3.5s , rem. nitro turk. loads and win.#4 buck shot ( these hurt)..ejects 3s and 2 3/4s fine..Not going to give up yet gonna get cone extended and chamber polished if not to much money..barbs in the cone maybe  ? why does it eject unspent 2oz. of lead but not empties ?  No offense to anyone but if i wanted to shoot 3s i would have saved 100 bucks and bought 3 inch gun.  thanks again everyone. lets hope i have better luck with my new .308..

The shell opening up at the mouth with the force of the wad column being driven out is expanding the case into the front of the chamber.
You might consider a spit dowel and fine sanding paper to polish the front end. do a bit at a time and check function often.
Or pay to have it 'extended' which should work too.

I'm not expert here, but this is more than likely due to a rough chamber.  I would go and get a brake cylinder hone from a auto parts store and hone it with a fine stone and plenty of oil.  That should help keep the shells from sticking to the chamber.
