I'm sure my wife would divorce me if I got it, so for the sake of my wife, my kids, and my future matrimonial happiness, somebody please snatch this up so I stop drooling over it.
um, er, yeah.  okay.

Shame there wasn't a little more information on this Browning. But what this "probably" is, is one of the Creedmore's Brownings. Browning made somewhre in the area of 300 of these in 45-90, most had a 34" barrel I think. but a few of these seem to be made with this 30" barrel. Don't worry about this one they come up for sale from time to time.

Tmac hasn't found any 30" 45-90's.  I don't think they exist.  This may be a rechamber OR someone hasn't measured.  The box on mine said 30" as did a lot of others but they were 34".  This may or may not be the real thing.

My Browning Creedmore has a 34" barrel and the box is marked 30".The price is a good one as only 356 were made. Rbump

Hi guys,
I can clear up all the curiosity about this rifle! I bought it! It is a Browning "Creedmore" rifle new in the box. It has all the paperwork (both manuals) with it, the original sight package with windage adjustable front sight still in the plastic case, and a box of ammo from "The Old Western Scrounger". It says it is a 30" barrel on the box, thus the advertised barrel length. I had the owner measure it and it is indeed the 34" barrel that Browning put on all their "Creedmore" rifles. He was asking $1875 for it but had become discouraged after several people turned it down over the "30 inch barrel length situation". I offered $1700 and figured he might meet me half way. Danged if he didn't accept my offer of $1700. Well, like Paul Harvey says, "now you know the rest of the story".
 Kind regards, Quigley
