There Is No Oil Supply Shortage!
« on: March 09, 2011, 05:37:58 AM »
The obama administration is asleep at the wheel on a real Energy Policy. We are becoming more and more dependant on imported oil. This administration has slowed down the permiting process for domestic drilling to a near stop. Oil companies are not going invest and build refineries. We have the domestic supply inthe ground. We just need to get it out so we can stop exporting JOBS and our Money.

Here's an astonishing read.  Important and verifiable information :

About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and
One of the Forbes Bros. Was the guest. The host said to Forbes, "I am
Going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer;
How much oil does the U.S. Have in the ground?"  Forbes did not miss a
Beat, he said, "more than all the Middle East put together."  Please
Read below.

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only
Scientists and oil men knew what was coming, but man was it big.  It
Was a revised report (hadn't been updated since 1995) on how much oil
Was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota, western South
Dakota, and extreme eastern Montana ..... Check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's
Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American
Dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA)
Estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is
Recoverable... At $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth
More than $5.3 trillion.

"When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see
Their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.." says Terry Johnson, the
Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

"This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found
In the past 56 years," reportsThe Pittsburgh Post Gazette.  It's a
Formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred
To as the 'Bakken.'  It stretches from Northern Montana , through North
Dakota and into Canada .  For years, U. S. Oil exploration has been
Considered a dead end.  Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching
For major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological
Breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves..... And we
Now have access of up to 500 billion barrels.  And because this is
Light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just
$16 PER BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years
Straight.  And if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next
One should - because it's from 2006!

U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World

Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the
Largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION
Barrels.  On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In
Three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With
This motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore
Drilling?

They reported this stunning news:  We have more oil inside our borders,
Than all the other proven reserves on earth.. Here are the official
Estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia

- 18-times as much oil as Iraq

- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait

- 22-times as much oil as Iran

- 500-times as much oil as Yemen

- and it's all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the
Environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America
Become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group
Of people dictate our lives and our economy.....WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in
This very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2
TRILLION barrels untapped.  That's more than all the proven oil
Reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.
Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price - even with this find?  Think
Again!  It's all about the competitive marketplace, - it has to. Think
OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists?

Got your attention yet?  Now, while you're thinking about it, do this:

Kick the liberals OUT!   If you don't take a little time to do this, then you
Should stifle yourself the next time you complain about gas prices - by
Doing NOTHING, you forfeit your right to complain.

Now I just wonder what would happen in this country if every one of you
Sent this to every one in your address book.

By the way...this is all true. Check it out at the link below!!!

Both links go to the same page. Was there a different one for the other find?

C4 - thanks for the info.  this potentially is the greatest news we could have if the gooberment doesnt screw it up.     What would the ME and Venenzuela do without all of our BILLIONS of energy dollars going over there?    We just need someone in the White House with the canastas to get it done and not let EnviroFreaks block it.

Maybe the plan is to use up all the Arab oil and then sell ours at double or triple the price later...

Ever seen the dead spots where the salt water injection comes back to the surface when they pressurize those holes to get that oil out?  Look out for dead ground across Montana, ND, etc...

There were 1680 land based drilling rigs and 801 offshore rigs making hole in and around the US as of March 4, 2011. Things aren't at a complete standstill. IF the PRICE of oil is high enough to make a profit the oil companies will be drilling. A bunch of the permits are controlled by the states, not the federal government.

There is no drilling going on in Alaska.  EPA has shut it down.  Shell was planning on drilling this summer but their permits got pulled at the 11th hour.  They are sitting on a newly discovered oil field that all estimates say has 27 Billion Barrels of recoverable oil.  That's a heck of a lot of oil.  My fear is that if we don't go after it China will.

Correct, there are only disruption and resistance in the oil supply chain.
There are serious concerns about the ability to get oil from the middle east to the refineries in the US and else where, there are concerns about getting oil out of the ground in Alaska (govt issues), there are concerns about leaks in pipelines in Alaska, there are concerns about getting oil out of the ground under water.  We do have significant oil supplies, we have a government insuring that we can't get to it.

The problem is political, not technical >:(.

During the Energy Forum I attended Wednesday it was reported there is no corrosion problem with the large diameter Alaska Oil Pipeline.  The corrosion problems is with the smaller diameter collection pipes.  These pipes normally see shorter periods of use, and BP has neglected corrosion control on them.

There has only been one major leak on the pipeline where oil was released and a major spill occured.  A drunk shot the pipeline with a hunting rifle.  It took five shots, with a .338 Win Mag, holding the barrel just a few inches from the pipe to penatrate the pipe and create a leak.

Two bombings only blew insulation off the pipe.

A major Earth Quake only damaged some support structures.  The pipe move around like it was supposed to with no damage to the pipeline.

How many acres of untapped oil leases do the oil companies own right now?  Mom always said to clean your plate before you ask for seconds.

Just because you got a lease don't mean you can drill. Still got to get the permits and that  is the rub. Look up how many have been approved lately.

Another one of our problems, the oil companies arn't concerned about the US.  They put every barrel out on the world market and ask the going price.  China and India have run the price up to the point that we are seeing now with the high oikl prices.  Other oil producing nations take care of themselves first.  Venusualia, gas is cheap for their residents,  Iraq, again gas is cheap for their residents.  Yet here ijn the US we let all out oil go out on the world market, and we have to pay the world price.  Maybe we need to stop letting the oil companies set the price for domestic oil.

I have had numerous arguments with a friend that is an oil executive.  His question to me, Why should I sell my oil here in Alaska, for a set price when I can put it on the world market and get two to three times the value.  It's business and they are looking at their bottom line.

Pastor Lindsey Williams was a pilot and Chaplin for the company building the Alaska pipeline in the 70's.  He has accurately predicted oil prices for years, because two oil executives that he met working on the pipeline have been feeding him information.   All oil reserves in the OP are true.  Lindsey explains why we don't pump our oil in this video.  Lindsey also tells what the oil executives are planning for our near future.
