Anybody got any experience with these scopes ? I could only find 3 customer reviews and they ranked it pretty high.

I've got the 3-10 x 44.  It's currently on my .243 Handi Rifle but was previously on my AR.  It's pretty rugged and has held it's zero well, but I wouldn't trust the mechanics of it too much.  The glass is decent, but is not as good as my Pentax Gameseeker, which in turn is not as good as my Nikon Prostaff.  So it is on the low end.  Don't expect a great image at full magnification, but up to about 6x it's fine.

Thanks for the rankings also since I was looking also at the prostaff as my leader in the around $100 scope race.

Was in our local Academny Sports and Outdoors store yesterday and noticed they stocked the BSA Catseye 4-12x44 for $90.   Asked to see it.  Pull up turrets, including the Side Focus.  Nice clicks to the windage/elevation turrets.  Viewed thru it, on lowest to highest magnification, looking down ailse at signs and the far end wall of the store, which was about 50 yards from me.  This is hardly a good way to check out optics, but noticed nothing about glass, clarity and etc. that was disappointing.   My impression,  for $90, not a bad scope and better than the Center Point scopes at Wal Mart.   If it had been at least a 16 power, I would have been tempted to buy it to try on one of my centerfire rifles.

I've had a3X10X44 cats eye on my Stevens 223 for a few years now, Have no complaints. put one on my sons 223 and it developed a crescent shaped piece of glass inside. Called BSA they told how to ship it back they fixed it and sent it back in a timely manor and have had no other issues with it. I will say for the few extra dollars I am buying mostly Nikon Pro Staffs these days though.

I gave my buddys brother who does crop damage shooting with us a 270 wby vanguard and some scope advice. He came back with a huge cats eye. Someting like a 6.5x20. He got slickered by a salesman that told him they were the best bang for the buck in a scope. Im sure it was more that he had some and no one would buy them and he found himself a sucker. He paid as much as he would have had to to get a prostaff or a 3200 bushnell. My opinon of it after playing with it for a while is the old saying if you have nothing good to say keep your mouth shut. So i handed him back the gun and kept my mouth shut. Personaly i wouldnt give you a plugged nickle for one. Unless you cant afford to pay a 100 bucks for a scope id pass or maybe for a 22 scope.

Broke a Catseye and a Contender, both on .22s.  Won't use another.  The internals won't hold under adjustment changes.

I hate to admit this but I just put my second BSA scope on my 45 70.It ate the first one up in about 12 shots I thought something was wrong with the installation took it back to Academy and they changed scope out no questions asked. Went back and shot this one probably 12 times( all I could stand it) and it went crazy,I like the looks of these BSA scopes but I am going back to academy and swap for  another scope. Chuck
