Hello Guys, I'm Papa Jack, I haven't posted on this Forum yet. I do on occasion post on the NEF forum here at Grey Beard and also on the Mossberg forum at Rimfire Central....
Last week I visited several gun shops and Pawn Shops in my area, found several Mossbergs, one I was kinda interested in buying. It was tagged "46B" but it didn't look like a 46B....Not real good, stock was bad, metal was OK,Blue was ok. Saturday I went back to take another look. This time I took my GLASSES !!
1) Gun was clearly stamped Model 45B ( Not 46B ) ( Tube feed, bolt )
2) stock was broken in the area just below the green/red dots ( Could be easily fixed )
3) Stock was cut off a couple inches for a child
4) Stock was varnished with a brush
5) Original Mossy scope and mount was installed
The shop had it priced at $149.00....( As a 46B ) I'd kinda like to have it for a project gun. It had the original Mossy Scope and mount attached, the blue looked ok, Gun was dry, hard to open the bolt, needed oil bad. Bore looked ok...
So I guess I need to know what to offer the shop for it

I was thinking it would be worth it to me for $100-125.00... At that price ,am I getting a bargain ? I don't know what Model 45B's are going for ?
How bout Stocks, any available
I have a No. 46 that also needs a stock ,kinda hard to find...
Thanks for any help !! Papa Jack
