compare the US with japan
« on: March 15, 2011, 06:20:02 AM »
My wife and I were having a pizza at rockys last night and a gentleman sitting at the bar made a comment that I thought was interesting.  he said "I don't see any looters"
he was refering to the quake over there.

You didn't see any looters in Iowa a couple of years ago in the flooding either.  I live about 200 miles from the Florida panhandle.  We have had major two hurricanes hit and came straight up from the Gulf to our area.  In 1977 Hurricane Eloise.  Knocked out power for 3 days.  Good old boys got out and helped clear trees off streets etc.  No looting.  Same again in 1991 with another Hurricane, but can't remember what that one was called, same again power out 3 days.  It seems only in large cities does looting occur.  More welfare dependents, more crime anyways, and no respect.

Not that big of a social experiment, stable families that take pride in hard work and working hard, regardless of nationality. Compare that to an american sub culture who gets paid to have babies, gets docked on their check if a mans in the house, gets free rewards because they don't want to work, use ilicit means of making any money, to be a big shot at the expense of those in surrounding neighboorhood. Not much to compare, two different worlds. One works for a living, the other gets rewarded for being irresponsible. (just how much of our welfare system is designed to keep racism alive? To make others dependent on gov't? to gradually creep into more affluent people's lives? Are we seeing that now with unemployment extensions?)

Americans aren't as sheep like as the Japanese.

Pat/Rick, you hit the nail on the head.
also it can be noted that in the long lines for food etc. no fights broke out.
in my county, the last 2 years high school graduation has had fights break out among the parents over seating arrangements.
certain people will keep the US from ever returning to greatness.
