help on a silhouette iron sight.

just bought a used 10 inch contender 30-30 barrel with what is called the silhouette, or adjustable sight. has the round wheel on top that allows click adjustments. never had one before.

here's the question. its looks like there is a place for a "sight blade?" on the rear sight.  the front sight is a post type.  the rear has the large gap or notch.  just looks like there needs to be a blade in there somehow.

if so, obtain it from TC parts people?

Tommy, if it is the sight I think it is, there was a round wheel that screwed onto the back of the sight that had 4 different sight widths you could choose from. T/C could probably replace the part, or go to the nearest Silhouette match and ask around. They were fairly common. Good luck.  Russ

talked with tc, they''re little sight blades that screw into the sides of the main sight frame. mount with tiny screws, one on each side.

anybody have any of these they want to get rid of or sell?
