38/55 range report
« on: March 21, 2011, 12:02:47 PM »
Nice weather. Shot the 38/55 at 100 yds. First 3 had a inch and half group. After that accuracy went down hill. Had barrel cool and still not as accurate as first 3 shots. I'm using H322 powder. I see many suggest 3031 powder for the 38/55. I'm going to try that and see what happens. Darn cases get stuck in chamber. I have followed suggestions for that and nothing helps. i use a wooden rod to push them out. Looks like I'm using a muzzle loader. The brass is really hard to remove. Any suggestions as to how to loosen up the chamber.

See the ejector tune info in the FAQs, that's the first place you should always look when you have questions, you're not on a new path, most anything that can happen to you has happened before.  ;)
