Fellas,

I just purchased my first Encore rifle!  I have been waiting for the right time for a while now and it finally came together for me.  Bought a used Encore (in excellent condition) with the muzzleloader and 7mm Mag barrels, should be perfect for my hunting needs.  It's blued with walnut stocks, which I tend to like the look of better than the synthetic.  Anything I should do other than cleaning it, taking it to the range, and having fun?  I'm looking forward to learning and sharing with you all!

Some people do some Vodoo tricks with them.  Mine have always shot great as is.  I have a 209x50 and a 25/06.  Before doing anything I would take them and see what kind of groups you get.  Mine have always shot great without even floating the forends.

Yeah, I already have a .22-250 stainless barrel in my sights, but I think I'll have to wait a bit for that (have to get back under the wife's radar)  .  Thanks for the reply!  Happy holidays.
