I  DON'T WANT TO BUY SPECIAL POWDERS I WOULD LIKE TO USE BULLETS AND POWDER I HAVE ON HAND BUT TO SAFE LEVELS. I HAVE NEW STARLINE 45 s&w BRASS. WILL BE USING SPEER 225 GR. HP BULLETS AND Bluedot or HS7 or W571 powder.

No!

Most starting loads for the .45 Colt are at or over max for the .45 S&W.

I HIGHLY recommend Trail Boss for the little .45 S&W. I don't recommend using jacketed bullets unless you know your throat size and bore size are small enough to fit them. The .45 S&W just does not have the ummph to properly obturate them to the throat and bore.

Stay Safe, glad you asked first.
