Henry Service
« on: March 05, 2011, 10:05:17 AM »
I Just got a Henry Acu-Bolt in .17hmr. yesterday. Took it out to the back pasture to sight the scope in and it would not extract a fired casing. After 5 trys with same result I tried an unfired round 3 times and it extracted every time. The casings are not really stuck very hard a slight pull on the rim with a very small screwdriver gets them out. Bad extractor? headspace? Called Henry and got a recording so I sent an E-mail. Mr. Imperato answered within 45 minutes. He advised to send it back and they would make it right and is sending a UPS label for free shipping. I have a Henry .22 lever action and it is fine, shoots and ejects well so I am hopeful they will fix this one.

I had a problem with Henry 30-30 rifle.  The Henry Co. made it right!

The trip to UPS Center may seem inconvenient but its a FREE way to ship your rifle back to the factory.

Follow up on the Acubolt. The 4th of March is when Henry stated they would send a label. Ten days later I called them back as I had not received the label. They overnighted a label, received the 15th, and sent the rifle back that morning. That afternoon I received a label in the mail. It had been mailed on the 8th. So the 4 day delay plus the snail mail(7 days to get a letter from NJ to Oklahoma!) caused the problem. The Govt should sell the Postal Service. Anyways, they sent a replacement rifle on the 16th, I have it and ejects fine so I am happy. +1 for Henry Service. God Bless.
