Winter in the west
« on: April 09, 2011, 09:06:50 PM »
It is spring time in the Rock Mtns. It has been a very long cold snow bound winter.  The damage to the big game herds has been very bad in some areas.  It has been snowing here for the 3rd day in row and up into the 20s. Yes spring is in the air finally.  The deer are able to move at last.

And Algore is validated, or maybe vindicated once again.

:-\ Sidewinder, this has been the worst winter for wind I have seen in many years..our snow in the valley is pretty much gone, except for a light dusting this morning...the snow pack is very good from what I have seen and hear...but this cold weather and wind, just keep hanging on...the days it has been pleasant as far as temps..the wind has been horrible...turkey season opened in my area in northern Wy. and I am not sure I can even get around the hills there to do any hunting...will find out next weekend....hope this improves....
