I have done homeowners association work.  I can promise you there is another side to this story.  But it's easier to hear one side and get indignant...

Homeowners Associations are nothing but a bunch of communist B.S. They dont pay the homeowners' mortgage they do not pay the homeowners' property taxes they do not pay any of the homeowners' utilities therefore they can go pound sand. Homeowners Associationa are nothing but another useless layer of government

I felt the LEO's did their jobs. They prevented things from escalating yet didn't get involved.The way they wear their hats in irreverent .

The "LEO's" present should  have been arrested for deriliction of duty as they stood by and allowed the blond NAZI to illegally enter private property and illegally seize and destroy private property. The blond thug should have been arrested and removed from the premesis. I dont need to hear "the other side of the story" because all it is is another "story" of heavy handed government that has grown so out of control that the only way to repair it is by force.

 We have those goals in streets here . kids get to playing and disreguard safety . Parents in effect teach kids to play in the street. Codes are in most cases to protect the public. The sad part is they have to be applied to all. Before getting into cutting down both police and code enforcement officals one should look to see if these goals had been the cause of injury in other places .
 From what was said who really knows ?
 As for the dress of a police officer it is/can be very important as it can be used to instill fear in people . It offers a look at the officers attitude ! in this case it was a silly look which may have been his view of the exersise !
 All that said we should support officals , question their intent and go thru the correct channels to over turn bad codes or laws.

I got a letter from them asking if it was ok with me if my neighbor allowed his disabled daughter to live in his dbl wide trailer, they built a new house. This is a "free" country.  When you "choose" to buy a house in a neighborhood with a HOA you "choose" to abide by their rules and decisions. The upside: you don't have to stare at houses with grass 3' high that has also needed to be painted for the last 15 years.  The downside: Stupid stuff like this.

My guess is that either some one wanted to revive the Clinton Midnight Basket ball and since everyone had one in their yard no one showed up and some dolt in govt does not want to loose his grant.
2- Some kid playing hit that BMW with the ball.
3- poor kids in projects do not have the luxury of having a hoop in the yard and there fore the rich kids can not have one (communism / Socialism at it's best)

First off it it looked to me like they lived in a Cul-de-sac so their should not have been much traffic.   Second, the home owner states that the B-ball goal had been their for 60 years.  So if nothing else it should have been grandfathered.  Third, the blond lied to the home owner.  She clearly stated to the home owner that they would lay the goal in his driveway.   I'ld probably have been taking a ride in a police cruiser if it were me.     I definitely would be calling my lawyer and showing him that video and copies of the letters I sent to the HOA.

Yep, but country can have them also. My land/house was an example . When the guy who sold it found out he could not enforce it he was pizzed. First we had to have 2000 sq ft heated space. He told me to send him a copy of drawings - I said send me $200.00 and I would ( the contract had no provision for me to send him anything ).Then he said he would mesure it , I said he could come on the land sat at 7 am . He did not like that but again the contract did not give him right to come on the land. Then I informed him to forget his silly rules as I sold the land to my builder ( to make the loan easier to work) and did not include the rules in the contract with the builder , again his contract with me did not require me to do so. My dad later got the lot up the street and his contract was a wee bit different .

  I never played basketball in my life..but I always figured those posts were curved up to the backboard as a safety measure.  Surely, when a player is rushing toward the basket and does a "lay-up", having the post well behind the backboard seems like a good idea..

Amen.  I never could understand why someone would pay big bucks to look out their window and into their neighbors.  I'd rather have a $60,000.00 house on $200,000.00 of land than a $200,000.00 house on $60,000.00 of land.  Subdivisions boggle my mind.
