20 ga USH forend
« on: April 05, 2011, 02:28:08 PM »
The H&R website says the 20 ga USH barrel comes with a special forend. What is different about it? Will a regular forend work on this barrel, or would it take a bunch of modification?

Any regular rifle or shotgun forearm will fit and will work will work. The 20 gauge USH forearm is longer than a regular forearm....<><....:)

I bought a set of laminated stocks for my sons 20ga USH and th fore end was kind of tight. I took some sand paper and wrapped it around the shaft of a snow shovel, and hogged it out until I got a fit I liked. I then resealed the barrel channel with a few coats of polyurethane.
