i have a lyman 3 x 9 38mm scope. it seems to be a pretty clear scope and i was just wondering what it would be comparable to ? it seems to suit my 17 rem very well.

Very similiar to the all steel American made Redfield Traditional. Good optics for the time and a very sturdy scope many of which are still in use. Good hunting scopes but lens coatings have come a long way and tend to make them look dim when compared to the newest models.
