223 Ultra Varmit

Anyone know if H&R make a stainless 223 ultra varmit with thumbhole stck from the factory? I cant find the option on their web site and thought I would call Mond. But just wanted to check with all the H&R gurus here that might know.

Never have that I'm aware of, the only stainless t-hole models have been the 45-70 and 444 Marlin Ultra Hunters, of course the Boyd's t-hole stock will fit a stainless Handi, so you can make your own, it just won't be a 24" bull barrel.

Ok thanks for the info, I would consider a stainless standard barrell, Does the Boyds laminate thumbhole stocks come finished or unfinished?

Those that H&R offers on the accessory barrel page are finished, but Boyd's sells them as finished and unfinished seconds on their website occaisionally, and sometimes on ebay as well.

I spoke too soon, the stocks disappeared with H&R's recent update of the acc barrel page, but they should still be available, part numbers are on the retail parts page in the FAQs, they can be ordered by calling them at (866)776-9292.

Thanks Tim, yea I noticed that the stocks were not on the page. But I called them today and got the info I needed they dont make a stainless 223 unfortunately... :( But I can do everything I want with an extra reciever I have for about 250 it just wont be stainless... Oh well thats just for fancy looks anyways.
