Synthetic stock Camo patterns
« on: April 20, 2011, 02:35:19 PM »
I have acquired three sets of these in recent months. I really do like them allot! Two of them are the Green variety and one, slightly shorter is brown. Its shorter but not as short as a Youth stock.

Here is the 454 with the Green variety..

And here is the 30-30 with the 1/2" shorter Brown variety..

Other than color and LOP they are identicle. Same checkering, same forends and same recoil pads.

My question is, have any of you found these different camo patterns or different LOP's on factory camo syn stocks?

Don't own one but I like them. Do they make a camo in handi grip?

I'd like a camo Handi Grip too. :)
The camo pattern they use is great.

All you have to do is click the smileys, they'll appear where your cursor is.

It's not too short, just shorter! ;). Actually it's a nice length!!  It is the last one you sent me, yes.

Sounds like the molds for the stocks were cut to different specs.
You could contact Choate and ask about the difference.

Thx spank,
It's not really that important. I had gotten a couple PMs from guys asking about LOP and camo pattern so I figured I would start post for reference / information.

We know everyones differently sized. But for me this shorter stock should be about perfect for winter time whitetails. While the STD laminated stocks, for example are quite long. It's good in a T shirt!

The shorter stock is the new Infinity stock(retail parts in FAQs... thanks to Brian56 ;)), besides being about 3/8" shorter, it has the H&R logo on the grip "cap", and an extra mold line as well as just H&R 1871 on the recoil pad instead of the round H&R logo.

I have a couple of questions, hope Tim or someone will know the answers. On the Infinity stock, is it just in camo or does
it come in black also? Also the 7mm-08 light barrel, is it going to be offered in a complete rifle or just a barrel to be fit to your frame?
Thanks,

There's the black checkered synthetic that's been available since 2008, it's full length tho, dunno if there's an Infinity black tho.

Is H&R coming out with a 7mm-08 superlight? Or have I been sleeping? :D

I guess you're not the only one that's been sleeping!! ;D ;D ;D I updated the New Accessory Barrels sticky with that info over two weeks ago, it's an accessory barrel only as far as I know, it's a Superlight barrel with the same contour as the 223 and 243 Superlights.

Thanks for the update Tim. I'll have to check it out. Looks like a good caliber/lightweight barrel for my triplet grandsons who were born on the smaller side.  So far I'm collecting the 30-30 Toppers for them. :D

I'd like to see a 357 with a superlight contour and maybe some decent open sights. ;)
If they could get it down to about 5 pounds it would be sweet.
