Cereal Box Prize
« on: April 19, 2011, 03:40:44 AM »
Finished a box of Cheerios this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find a toy prize inside! Haven't seen this in a while and it was a Hotwheel made of real pot metal. Reminded me of my youth when the prize included in a box of cereal was more important than the fiber content!

Waych out, it may be made in China and may be painted with lead paint.

I don't think the lead can do any more damage than the 70s did  ;D

Speaking of lead: back in the "olden days" (i.e. 1960s) I used to bite bullets out of .22 ammo, empty the power and stick the case into a bar of soap and shoot 'em powered with just the primer, in the basement at targets suspended in front of an open box. The soap pellets would (usually) go through the target hit the back of the box and fall down. I'd mush the pellets into a chunk of soap and use them over and over again until it there wasn't enough soap left to mush.

Biting lead, hmmm, maybe that's why I forget things now... ;)  :P
