Can you find ethanol free gasoline
« on: March 30, 2011, 05:13:24 PM »
I live at the coast and every marina carries mid grade ethanol free gasoline.  I never see it inland.  How can the average guy find any today?  I'd like to use it in my ATV were I keep it at my hunting camp, but I have never found it there.

Airport will have some at exorbitant prices. Check in the Yellow Pages under fuel jobber or oil jobber they will know who they are delivering it too in your area. Here in the state where nothing is allowed it is only legal for antique cars and off road vehicles.

There's not one station in my town that carrys ethanol tainted gasoline. Seriously It seems that folks just wouldn't buy the crap so all the stations quit selling it. I've noticed a lot of towns across Oklahoma that way.

There is a web site that lists where it is available, state by state.
www.puregas.org

I may have given a wrong site in the above post.
Try: WWW.pure-gas.org

I forgot to put the hyphen in.

i have to wonder how much of the gas that we think is alcohol free actually has some in it. I know my truck gets about 2 mpg less then it did 2 years ago. Ive got a buddy whos owns a mechanic shop here local and i had him check the truck over good. He said theres nothing wrong with it and that hes noticed the same thing and thinks its alcohol being added to the fuel. He said hes had many many people come in and claim the same thing.

This ethanol crap is bad news for any motor that sits!!! Be it second or antique car, motorcycle, atv PWC string trimmer lawn mower ETC. I have been using a product called SEA-FOAM for many years with excellent results. It's Far and away better than Stabil.

Something else I only recently found was a Lucas oil product Ethanol safety. It specfically designed for E10,E15 and E85 fuels.

Google them and decide for yourselves. I use it I like it and I have had zero problems ever since.
