Homemade Gas Checks?
« on: December 27, 2003, 09:06:02 PM »
Has any one heard of making gas checks out of aluminum cans like pop or beer cans? I have a friend that claims you can do it and it works fine? I am going to post this some other places also and see what response I get. He claims he has some punches that you can make them out of cans. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Hello Jim, :D

Bullet Swaggers have tried making bullet jackets out of aluminum cans and it does work. But when aluminum corrodes it is called aluminum oxide, which is the same stuff that grinding wheels and grinding compounds are made from. So just be careful.
