Burnside Bullets
« on: April 28, 2011, 05:58:21 PM »
I have a nice 5th model Burnside with beautiful bore that I'm anxious to shoot.  So far, I've only been able to locate the brass.  Now I need the bullets.  I've read about guys shooting roundball, but  I'd prefer to have "authentic" conicals.   The usual sources like Dixie and S&S have been backordered for months, both for bullets and molds.

I've found a few potential sources on the web that say they can make a mold for about $100-125 if I supply the drawing.  Soooo, if anyone knows where I can get a drawing, mold, or preferably already cast bullets, I'd be grateful!

TIA

See if you can get on the 'N/S Skirmish Assoc.' site and/or check with Lodgewood, Mfgr. in Wisconsin.
