Lightweight vests?
« on: May 08, 2011, 07:29:09 AM »
Now that the season has begun I forgot to look for a new vest.I like the ones that are like a actual vest,no straps over the shoulders. What I found so far really don't like.My hunting is usually alot of run and gun. There is times though I will be out for a while and would like a decent sized seat and cushioned back. Most of the ones I found have alot of pockets which I don't need.I only carry a few items.Only half a dozen shells so want shell storage. As calls go a slate, two strikers.Mouth calls are only about 3 in a small case.Only other thing is my gloves and mask.Too many pockets always has me searching for my stuff, which isn't good in hurry.Other than a snack and a bottle of water nothing else.Any info for me.

It has a lot of pockets which you said you didn't like but I would check out the Primos Gobbler Vest. I just started using it this spring and I love it. You can tell the pockets and their placement was very well thought out by avid turkey hunters. I never have to search for anything and I always carry at least a box call, two mouth calls, one slate, one glass and two strikers. It is light weight too which was something I specifically wanted.
