Hello, folks. I am a BIG fan of the Model 10 or pre 10 with tapered barrels. I would like to make a new sticky based on this historic firearm. Please feel free to post your pics, era, stories, and anything else to add. I have owned and carried them in blue, nickle, and still reserve one for deer/burglars. I will say, from personal experience, load the revolver with the proper ammo and it creates a comfort zone for their owners..... (: The most prolific revolver in history deserves some exposure here on GB's. I will start....
Model 10-7, Nickel- Put down a deer with a lung shot and head shot. Deer was a serious road hazard. First bullet took out the lungs, and the head shot was a follow up. Load was a 110 WW flat point FMJ.
Model 10-7 Blued(tapered barrel)- Harvested a deer through both lungs. As effective as a .357 Mag. Deer ran 30 or so yards and piled up. Load was a Buffalo Bore 158 gr LHP, 20 C Load.
I would not trade my Model 10's for anything.................
