glock POI......
« on: May 15, 2011, 04:07:10 AM »
I had recently shot a glock 27 and was finding myself aiming 8-10" low to get near the bull at about 10 yards. is this typical of glocks? or was it a ammo thing maybe? Im interested in one but dont wanna have to guess where to aim at 10 yards.

Whether you're right or left handed (Always good to know whenever answering a question like this.) I think that, because of the small size of the pistol, you're pushing into the gun as you fire.  Press down more firmly on the base of the backstrap - until the muzzle just begins to rise - and you should be fine.

(Personally, I think the G-26 is a better pistol.)   ;)

It does sound like you are healing the pistol to me also. That is kind of like trying to helping the bullet get out of the barrel by pushing the gun forward as you squeeze the trigger it raises the muzzle up. I see this with many pistol shooters when we qualify them for their handgun carry permit. I tell them the powder will push the bullet out the barrel with plenty of force they don't need to shove it out.  ;D Some shoot low because they jerk the trigger and pull the pistol down in that action.

I also like the G-26 better. It is easier to control for multiple shots to get back on target quickly and with the new Gold Dot or Hornady XTP, Golden Saber etc. bullets they do a good job in stopping the threat, for evermore, if you know what I mean.  ::)

Someone put the wrong sight(s) on the gun?

It needs a taller front sight.
