I have NO experience with the .41, but I do have a .357 & a .44, both are very nice carbines. Are you saying that Marlin is re-introducing them??? If so, I will probably have to track one down. I've been keeping my eye's open for one of the older ones, but they are hard to find.

I have a lot of experience taking mine in and out of the safe, unfired Limited Cowboy 20" oct barrel. Keep meaning to take it to the range but hasn't made it, hides in the back of a metal box in a gun rug . Had 2 but got talked out of one. Patner to a 657.

Have had mine for about 5 years now.  It has been my main deer gun for the last 3 years.  Mine shoots nice groups without much recoil.  Mine has a 2-7x scope on it.

I looked at the Marlin catalog a few weeks and do not recall seeing a 41.

My brother-in-law has one and loves it but says it was a pita to load for.  He said that factory ammo grouped ok but handloaded cast would near pattern unless the clugs used went oversize up to .003, and gas checked.  He said he called Marlin about their rifle not shooting cast slugs well and that Marlin provided that their barrels in pistol calibers are oversized or overbore.  A .410 jacketed slug picks up the rifling satisfactorily but cast slugs have to run larger to have the same accuracy.  HTH.

I have had a 1894S for about 5 years. I love it! Very accurate. I have a 4X Bushnell scope on it.

I've had one since 2005 and love it but mostly just plink at the range.  Darn thing makes ammo disappear too fast - 'specially when my boys use it.  It will feed and shoot even Corbon 265 gr ammo if I'm careful. No Marlin jams yet.  But the micro rifling tends to clog if I shoot much cast so generally stick with jacketed.

I  really enjoy shooting it and the boys, 9 & 13, can brag they shot a magnum!

Wish we had more caribou around, I'd like to take something with this gun.  So nice to carry too.

The .41 in a lever gun is a great idea!
I have one, but it will never be a plinker.
1) It will NOT group 210 grain bullets over flake powders like Unique or Blue Dot. It will pattern them like a 12-gauge.
2) The head of the tech dept. at Marlin admitted that their barrels were slightly oversized. I now size my Lyman #41028 RNFP's to .413".
3) MAX loads of 2400 or H110 work fine and will surely lay out a deer.
4) Marlin does their testing indoors with Remington factory ammo. If you can find it, it is well over $60/box.

So, bolt a good low-power scope on it and practice with .38's in your 1894C 38/357 carbine. Take the .41 out when you need to protect the orchard.
