:gun4: BOY, did I come close to hitting a grey fox this afternoon. I'm only 15 and this was my first encounter with a grey fox. This spring I have been trying to kill a hog with my new Fred Bear TRX bow. Note, I have not made a kill with a bow yet. It just so happend that this fox came by my tripod today, pretty nervise. The thing had no idea I was eny were around. I brought him in to 15 yards were he decided to sit down wile searching for the (mouse) he heard. I had a time drawing on him but ween I did he just looked right at me. My arrow hit the ground right (and I mean RIGHT) under his belly. He leaped up and looked back at me turned around and trotted away. Ween I got my arrow it had a small tuft of hair on the brawed head. Can't get much closer than that! No blood thou, luckily I didin't wound it. For the first animal I have ever shot at with a bow I think thats pretty good. :wink:
