6-48 I'm almost positive.

Do you guys know if the rear sight holes are the same threads? I recently put a Williams FP peep sight on my .45 Colt so I need some filler screws.

Thanks

Yes they are, T/C uses 6-48 for all sight screw holes in both the Contender and Encore barrels and I believe they were the same on the muzzle loaders as well.

. . . . I believe they were the same on the muzzle loaders as well.
No, they're not. Found out the hard way. In fact, following for explanatory purposes in blue is the text of my email to the vendor:

In response to your two website pages:

http://www.eabco.com/store/products/Front_Sight_Hole_Plug_Screws_2_Blue-1330-0.html

and

http://www.eabco.com/store/products/Front_Sight_Hole_Plug_Screws_2_Stainless-1331-0.html

the above referenced order was placed. Upon receiving the order, I discovered from the language on the product packaging as well as the invoice, itself, that the product was meant specifically for application to Thompson Center muzzle loading rifles, not my Contender barrels.

In view of the foregoing, I'd appreciate a return authorization along with the understanding that my credit will include the original shipping charge of $4.95. I ask for this additional credit because even the enclosed invoice includes the language your website doesn't, namely that the product is meant for T/C muzzle loading rifles.

I will bear the expense of returning the product to you. Thank you for your consideration.

The difference being 6x40 vs 6x48(tpi).
A couple of #8 lead shot and mild thread locker work, and look better than the slots, IMO.
I think they would come out (if desired) relatively easily with the judicious application of heat, but I haven't tried.
