The adds for the TC Hawken Hunter scope 3-9 X 40 refers to the scope as a recoil proof muzzleloader scope. I can get a scope like this for a good price. I have an Encore with a .270 Win barrel. Does any one know if this scope will last on a rifle? Thanks for any help.

I have the same scope on a 7mm-08 rifle barrel and it seems to work just fine. It is a medium quality scope, but the warranty is unbeatable, if it fails, send it back and get a new one.
I think you'll be fine with it on your rifle.
