She was brought here at 11, she had no choice then. I do wish the article would have said if she is working on legal status, hope that she is. Otherwise it looks like she could be a benefit to society. As far as the schooling goes, it appears that a profit is being made off of her:

What  the heck is so hard for some people to understand about the word "illegal?"  If you start making exceptions, then the law is meaningless.  Beside that, we don't need any more immigration lawyers.  The only use for them is to try to find a way around the law.  We need law enforcers.

I don't blame the illegal aliens, they are encouraged by our government.  I think government is trying to honor the illegal North American Union treaty GWB signed with Mexico and Canada.  These kids that grow up here are victims of our government.  There is no easy answer to the problem.

Why our government all but ignores the problem is beyond me. Are they purposly setting up the precedence to give away our sovereignty? Dwight D took care of the problem after the Korean War with "Operation Wetback". Sadly, the years following, found out we had dropped our guard. Still, regardless of how secure a border is, items and people will find there way across. Larger amounts when a nations politicos don't seem to care about, but promote a problem.

I like it when our elected tell us how secure our borders are. Then turn on the NatGeo channel and watch "Border Wars", only to hear the agents profess that we have porous borders. Hhmmmm
