How do I do a quote?
« on: May 04, 2011, 02:02:20 PM »
It took me an hour or more to figure it out once, and now I've forgotten, but if I remember right, there was as much deleting as there was in the quote; (mostly goggleygook). And if I didn't delete, a whole bunch of gobbleygook. Not only that, but trying to preview, I still couldn't see it the same as how it comes out when I post .

Another question: I modified a post or two about a year ago, and the "Modify" comes on every post. I've even changed computers, for whatever that was worth.

Drag your mouse cursor across what you want to quote in order to highlight it.  Then look at the buttons above the box you are typing in and find the cartoon text thingy (technical term).  It is the sixth from the right.  click it and it will automatically add the quote bb code.

you have paste it between the quote-quote thingys after you punch the quote button

unless it doesn't look right above, then never mind.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

I did it by holding left button down to highlight, right click on the highlight, left clicking on "copy", left click on "reply", where it comes up with quote quote, left clicking between them, right clicking, then selecting "paste".
