Wlscott..I'm finally getting the details to you!!

We headed out for scouting/calling on foot. Set up to call several hundred yards around a bluff. No takers on the first set, but on the second set , we got a taker! After calling for a few minutes on the second call set, we were about ready to move when I saw movement aobut 350 yards out on a high spot. I let out another several squeals and that got his attention! He froze, locked in my direction then dove over the side and came running across a low spot. I took advantage of this and quickly shifted hard left for the anticipated shot. He took only seconds to show up about 100 yards out and in clear view coming around the side hill. As he moved I raised the 6mm Rem.....I woofed at him and he barely noticed. I squeeked and he stopped for a second only to continue weaving through rocks and sage brush, headed around to me. I'm thinking crap, this dog isn't going to stop! and the heart started thumping! ha I woofed/barked/hollered at it and it stopped facing me....boom, down dog. It took the 105gr Starke through the neck, front to back. We placed the dog on a rock and continued our hunt. Tried a couple more sets with no takers.

Does that work for you Wlscott?...I tried to detail it as best I could!!

Hey, a post just for ME!!  Can't ask for more than that, huh? (besides maybe PICTURES).

How do you like that 6MM?  My calling partner uses a 6MM Remington bolt action.

I am partial to the .223 myself.  I use either an H&R Ultra in .223 or my Colt AR15 depending on my mood at the time.  Both are tack drivers and do the job just fine.

You gotta love those overachievers that just don't seem to want to stop for you.  Wait till you have one come in from behind that you don't see.  Talk about getting your heart pumping:-0
You haven't hunted......Until you've hunted the hunters
