20 Br. brass
« on: February 28, 2011, 06:23:14 PM »
I had a 20 Br made about 6 to 8 yrs ago a real screamer 4600 fps. with a 36 gr bullet. only shot 50 to 100 times because its a pain in the butt to make the cases when you take em down from 6 br, so my question is does any manufacturer make 22 br brass it would make it a lot easier i wouldnt have to ream and or turn the necks. I run it through a 22br first after that there's just to much brass in the neck area if you know what i mean.

I have kept an eye on that space for a few years now, and I know no one is making 22 BR. Sorry. But by all accounts, once you go to the trouble of buying high cost brass, and do the neck work, at least if you load them moderately you can get dozens upon dozens of reloads out of them. Some BR shooters say they are still working on their first batch of brass years after they purchased it.

So if you neck down a 6mm BR case, does all the extra brass end up on the inside of the neck? So you would have to do inside reaming, not outside? I am not familiar with the neck up and neck down business.
