eye relief

have mounted 15" 308 on my pro hunter with a nikon 2.5-8 pistol scope with leoupold dual dovetail mounts. i can not get scope back for enough to get rt.eye relief on higher power .

There are extended rings.  Also you might try Ken Light in Cal. for an erxtended base.  I have a Nikon 2--8 and it is like yours, a bit short on eye relief.  I assume you have made an adjustment on the ocular lens.  I have a couple of Leup 2.5--8s and they are a bit tight on eye relief at 8x as well.  They are much more useful at 6x.
