So much for a life of Vegetarianism
« on: May 22, 2011, 06:01:07 PM »
My ol buddy from India just died of serious heart disease. I was surprised because he was a thin vegetarian all his life. It turns out that men from his native part of India are almost all vegetarians but they have a very high incidence of heart disease. The reason is believed to be because the preferred cooking oil is called ghee, and is clarified butter.

I couldn't help thinking that they'd be better off eating bacon and triple cheeseburgers instead.

Just thought I'd pass this on because it was a surprising fact.

Raw food vegans consistently starve themselves and their kids to death.

Did you ever notice that vegetarians are always prey animals?

Sorry to hear about your friend.
I wonder if the men in the village that eat vegtables only want to die early and their heart breaks for the lack of grilled and roasted meats.
Who wants to live to 90 or longer with out the occasional  Ribeye, bacon, cheese burger, fried Chicken, Pulled Pork BBQ, BBQ Chicken leg, or Lamb Chop.
Not to mention sausages of all kinds and cold cuts or even a simple beef or lamb stew. Can you tell I'm hungry?
I understand religous reasons not to eat this or that and there were times when some of those foods were not safe to eat.

PETA is a registered trademark.  A man here in Alaska owns the Trademark, and it means People for the Eating of Tasty Animals.  Seems the Animal Rights group forgot to register it, and he beat them to it.

The Grizzlies complain the Vegetarians are stringy and tough, and those little bells are rough on the digestive system.  The ones that carry pepper are a little better tasting.  But nothing beats a nice big greasy fat one.

Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

The bear sprays come in three flavors right?
Cajun, Au poivre, and Lemmon Pepper?   ;D
I once read the directions for the bear sprays and it says shake for 30 seconds.  Do I have 30 seconds?
Your friend should send a letter offering to sell the trade mark.  My father sold the IBM logo to IBM that they were using for years.  Dad's was International Banding Machine a company on Long Island that banded and wrapped pallets.
