I have buoght a Super 14" in .223 caliber.  I am needing to know if it has to energy to knock over half-size sillhouettes, in IMHSA competition. I will be using a 2-7x32 Bushnell scope. What kind of loads work good in this set up?

State Director won't allow 223's at our range.  Does too much target damage.   Guess you could load them down if your group allows them.   A 22 Hornet has enough poop to not leave ringers with a good hit.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

A while back I campaigned an XP-100 in .223 Rem for IHMSA Half Scale with a scope.  I used two loads.  The light load was pushing 52 grain bullets at a muzzle velocity of less than 2100 FPS and was used on Chickens and Pigs (not a very accurate load, but good enough for the distances).  The fast load gave the same projectile a muzzle velocity of 2700 FPS, which slowed to 2100 FPS terminal velocity at the turkeys, and never left a ram (very accurate load).  I kept the loads separated by the use of brass and nickel cases.
