winchester's bringing back the model 71

saw it in shooting times magazine, and then went to thier site. it's new for this year in of course the .348 winchester cartridge
that 11-pointer was too perty to let you have it - ( dale earnhardt )

That's very interesting and I appreciate the heads up.  But in my opinion, Marlin 444 is a better cartridge and better choice for hunting truly big game out to approx 200 yards or so.  Speer 270 grain bonded bullet is head and shoulders above any 348 bullet ever built!

It nice to see the 71 being made again. I have a Browning marked 71 that is a well made firearm. Both Kodiak and Woodliegh make 250 grain bonded bullets for the 348.
