Later this summer, Patty and I are going to be shooting for two straight days in Tee shirts. She was concerned about developing a flinch with her .270, so I made 10 .270 TB loads and she loved them, so I rolled a big batch for her to take to the shoot. I'll be shooting Handis in Maxi, .38-55 and .445 SM, all on BC Carbine stocks with the metal butt plates, plus the .45-70. Not wanting to come home black and blue and purple too, I made up 20 38-55s with 10 gr. TB under a 240 gr. LFN. I only shot one to feel the recoil and it was mild. I didn't chrony it or try to put it on paper because it is pouring rain....supposed to clear by Tuesday.....a great holiday weekend.
I think Trail Boss has a definite place in extended shooting sessions, small game and small varmint hunting. Also for starting young kids shooting.
