NUG from Texas
« on: June 09, 2011, 09:56:34 PM »
Howdy Howdy How y'all doing? I'm the new guy. What compelled me to search here, learn here, and become even more confused is a Savage 99 that followed me home today.  I run a hunting club outside of Huntsville, Tx. and farm while trying to finish college. Looking forward to learning a thing or two. Fair winds and following seas, V94

Welcome aboard....... :)

Anybody that lets a Savage 99 "follow" him home  is OK with me.

Thank you. I think I have a franken99.  I've been reading about the 99, heard stories, praise, and mysticism (is that a word?) since I was a kid but have never seen one in real life.  I thought one day I might see one and boom there she was. It only took me 40 years after pulling my first trigger to actually see one, and I knew it would never happen again.  So, my wife sighs and shakes her head as she cleans out her purse literally looking for more change so the 99 can come home.  I've searched a lot here as a lurker so the questions might start coming soon. Thanks again.

Howdy and welcome to GBO. This is a great place. Pull up a chair and sit a spell.

My 1st deer rifle was a Savage 99 in 300 Savage and I still have it. They are great rifles. Congrats on your purchase.
