good morning from the last frontier,  :o Anyone tried reduced cast bullet loads in their 9.3x74R? Please share your experiences...

  I don't have a cast bullet load to offer you, but i will mention that 270 grain Speer bullets are fairly cheap, and shoot very well.  I think most DR's regulated for 286 grain bullets can also be loaded to regulate with those Speers.

Might want to check out castboolits@gunloads.com. they have some group buys and I think there is one still open for NOE's 9.3 bullet. Excellent molds. Frank

DM I just happen to be sitting on 2, 5gallon buckets of wheel weights I would like to find a use for. Just thought some practise loads for the 9.3 might work the trick.  :)

I think you are onto a great idea. Let me know how it turns out. I just shipped my Sabati back via Cabela's and they were very helpful at the Billings, Montana store. They assured me there won't be any of the nasty muzzle grinding stuff. The rifle should be properly regulated on return so I would very much like a cast bullet load. Besides, that is a great use for your wheel weights.

  Hopefully they won't just saw the bbls. off like they did to one guy, and send it back, STILL not properly regulated...
 
  Now i see they are shuffleing returned Sabs to other stores, and reselling them without changeing anything...
 
  Keep us posted how your's comes out, as i'm hopeing they get their act together SOON!
